On Wednesday, December 17, 2025, the School of Dentistry at Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences hosted a representative from Iraq as part of its efforts to expand academic and international interactions.

This visit began at 10:30 AM at the School of Dentistry and was attended by Dr. Mouayad Zwain, Dean of the College of Dentistry at Cordoba University, Iraq.

At the start of the visit, Dr. Dalai, the international advisor of the school, and Dr. Ghorbani, head of the Oral Health and Social Dentistry Department, welcomed Dr. Zwain and accompanied him during the tour of various specialized departments, laboratories, and educational facilities. During this visit, the scientific and technical capabilities of the School of Dentistry, as one of the region’s leading educational hubs, were introduced to the Iraqi delegation.

Following the visit, Dr. Faeghi, Director of International Relations Development at the university, addressed the gathering, elaborating on the extensive capacities of Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences in research, faculty and student exchange, and short-term specialized courses. He emphasized the readiness of the International Affairs Office to initiate joint projects and sign operational agreements.

In the final part of the session, Dr. Ebadi Far, the respected Dean of the School of Dentistry, expressed his pleasure at hosting the Dean of the College of Dentistry from Cordoba University, stating, "We welcome the opening of a new chapter in bilateral cooperation with universities from various countries, including Iraq." The Dean also affirmed the school’s complete readiness to share scientific experiences and enhance academic cooperation in the field of dentistry.

This meeting was held with the aim of planning for sustainable cooperation and offering the high educational and medical potential of the university to the Iraqi delegation.
